The Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks shot a blistering 60.8% from the field en route to a 97 -53 pounding of the undermanned Florida Force. For Dallas, both Paul Schulte and Jeff Glasbrenner tallied 24 points. Jermell Pennie (12 pts), Rusty Belknap (10 pts), and Ryan Hundemer (10 pts) were also in double figures. Florida was led by Chris Stoutenberg’s 16 points.

Dallas survives Bucks to finish regular D1 season undefeated (March 27, 2005)

The Milwaukee Bucks hit 7 of 10 three-point attempts in the first half and still trailed Dallas by 6 points. The Mavs survived the Bucks hot perimeter half by counter punching with high percentage (68.8% for the half) transition and inside baskets. Milwaukee was still hot in the third quarter and surged to a 4 point lead by the quarter’s end. In the fourth quarter, Dallas played a taller combination of players and extended the defense to the half court. The strategy worked as Milwaukee (also battling foul trouble) cooled off and faded down the stretch.

For Dallas, both Jeff Glasbrenner and Paul Schulte were 11 for 13 from the floor en route to 29 and 27 points respectively. Raul Ortega (10 for 17) added 24 points. Glasbrenner also added 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Schulte’s 9 assists were a game high as well. Milwaukee’s four players in double figures were led by Dave Durepos and Gavin Cloy with 20 points each.
